I am SOOOO pissed off! I had, like, a whole entry written, and all of the sudden the window decided to close, so I'm recreating this on MS Word.

Happy 4th of July. I’m SO unenthusiastic. Sure, sure, I love America and every thing, but to me, the 4th is just another day. As a matter of fact, this one wasn’t even a very good day. I did nothing, and I was actually pretty unhappy all day. Maybe the lack of normal society is starting to get to me? But I’d still rather be at home than out in the Boston heat watching fireworks that always get boring after a few minutes. I totally do not understand people who get all into holidays, although in some ways I admire them. Getting really enthusiastic is not something I do. It’s not really a choice; I just don’t know how to be (about holidays, that is.)

My dad showed me this article about Derek Lowe in Sports Illustrated, and it was SO sad! I mean, the middle/end parts were nice, but the beginning was very upsetting. It was all about how hated he was in Boston last year. It said that he was afraid to leave Fenway (the Red Sox’ park) after a blown save, because the fans were always booing and harassing him, and messing with his car. After one blown save, he hid out in their clubhouse for 2 hours and didn’t leave until 1:00 AM, so all the fans would be gone. It also said he got many death/trade wishes from fans, plus he said that he would look at a schedule, praying that the home stand would be over, and that they could go on the road. And that when they were playing their last game of a road trip, he would hope to get used so that he wouldn’t have to pitch as much at home. That’s so AWFUL. Man, that’s the kind of thing that’s pushing being a fan way too hard. If I could go back in time, I would defiantly go wait outside of Fenway after he got a blown save, and just, like, make sure to ask for his autograph so he would know not EVERYONE hated him. I mean, that has got to be an awful feeling. Now, this year there are all these people saying how much they loved him last year, and blah, blah, blah. It’s getting to the point where I’m not even sure if I really liked him last year or if I’m just making it up. However, there is one time that I remember that makes me believe that I’m not making it up. This was near the end of last season, when the Sox got Ugie Urbina. This is the whole reason I like Tim Wakefield so much (one of my favorite pitchers.) Well, when Ugie came over, I was very upset, because I saw that he was a closer and the whole reason they were bringing him over, was to close, therefore he was taking Derek Lowe’s job. I saw a quote from Tim Wakefield that basically said, if they give the new guy Derek’s job I’ll be upset. I was very happy with Tim then, I remember. And actually, they didn’t give Ugie the job RIGHT away, and in the long run it’s been better to have Derek as a starter, so I like Ugie now.

I have the feeling we’re (my family) going on some vacation soon, but I don’t know what it could be…I have absolutely no idea what our plans are for the summer. Whatever. I guess I’ll find out sooner or later, right?

The stable is SUPPOSED to be moving to farther away than it already is. Actually, it was supposed to have already moved. So I get all used to this idea, and psyched to see the new place, and we call to see if they’re open yet, and guess what? They haven’t moved yet! They’re having “legal problems” and now they’re even looking for another place! Geez! Well, I can hope that if they find a new place it’ll be closer, I guess. That’s one good thing. *shakes head* They were supposed to move on Sunday, I was there on Saturday, where did these legal problems come from? They had the place all packed and everything. I call that very last minute.
