"Stranger than your sympathy..."

I am incredably hyper. It's insane. No one else is home, so I can't stop talking to myself. It's actually driving me crazy, being why I'm updating here. I'm acutally also doing like 3 other things at the moment, but none are important, so whatever.

I have joined an RPG about the Tamora Pierce books, our characters are Queen's Riders. If you wanna look at it, it's It seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun. I already know all three mods from before. Nom and Cynthia from StarMoon, and Sakura, who I believe I met through Priire and an XMen RPG she started that I was in. I created my character today, and Cynthia approved her, so I'm all set! Funness. My character's name is Torea Corentam, and she's a pretty likeable person, with a really strong focus when she's concentrating on something. As sad as this is, I actually based the frame of her personality on Trot Nixon, because he seems to have a very interesting personality. When he's off the field, he's a goofball, and seems like a really fun person, but when he's on the field, he's FOCUSED. It's really intense. Him and Daubs have been nicknamed the "Dirt Dogs" because they seem so fearless and they're not afraid to get dirty catching a ball, making a play, sliding into 2nd or 3rd, or whatever need be. So Torea is based on Trot. That seems so pathetic, but whatever. I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun with her character.

And that, my friends, is the perfect seguay into my next topic, the Red Sox! Tonight was the BIG game. One of the best pitching matchups you'll see all season, and a game that killed me, because it was Derek Lowe vs. Barry Zito. Now, I KNOW I've told you before about how I like both of them, but of COURSE I was rooting for Derek! However, it was also kind of nice to see Barry, as I don't get to see the A's and my favorite A's especially, very often. Anyway, Deri pitched awesome again. Barry made a couple of mistakes, and the Sox capitalized, and WON! Yay! They won 4-2. Cliff Floyd got his first Fenway hit in a Sox uniform, and he got his first homerun with the Sox. Ugie got the save although he had to rely on great catches by Trot and Johnny to the far outfield to do so, and he gave up a homerun. But, he was OK. I think he'll get better, he's just having a rough time for a bit. So, Red Sox avoided a sweep, and get back ahead of the A's in the wild card race. AND...The White Sox took 2 out of 3 against the Angels! Yes! That makes the Sox only a half game back from the Halos in the Wild Card. I'm quite happy. This makes Deri the first 16 game winner in the AL, and makes Zito's record worse than Deri's! Funness. And Petey's is still better than Zito's too. Derek is 16-5, Petey 15-2 and Barry 15-5. Twins in town tommorow. They've been slumping lately, but they're tough. We'll see. Haven't seen the Twins yet this season. They'll be the last team, and the Sox will have played all AL teams.

Anyway, I guess there's not much to say about my trip to Maine. It was a REALLY nice little house, with a lake and a boat, and nice decorations. The bad thing was that it didn't have a phone, but there was a pay phone and two stores just a little ways down the road. As aforementioned, we taught the dog to swim, and now she's really good at it. She's such a good dog. Too bad Colin's dog is tormenting her. His dog (Asa) takes Nellie(my dog)'s bone and won't let her near it, and Asa steals Nellie's food and growls at her if she comes near. But Asa's a pretty good dog anyway, she's just used to having her way. She's a really pretty/interesting looking dog. (On a side note, my dad said that kids are really impressed our dog's name is Nellie, because they think it's Nelly, like the rapper, when she's really named after my dad's favorite baseball player, Nellie Fox.)

Anyway, I get really angry at Colin a lot (see last night's entry) but he really does try to be nice to me and make sure everything's OK when he's home. He's just a normal 20 year old I guess. He is really nice to me, he makes sure to come find me to say hi when he comes home, and talks to me when he gets a chance. I mean, though, he IS 6 years older than me, and not home much, so we're not really all that close. He's got that adult politeness now that's a little bit awkward. But, whatever. Like I said, he's not around much, so it's all OK.

OK, I will finish off this entry now. My parents should be home at some point. They said after midnight, and it's 12:08, so anytime now. So, talk to y'all (or ya'll) later.
