The Ataris are a really good band. Did you know that? Anyway, I've been listening to the three CDs of theirs I have now over and over again for about a month now, because it's really really excellent. I just figured out what it is. It's a combination of brilliant music and rythyms and lyrics that are just so honest. I mean, you an tell that this is someone singing from their heart, you know? It's great.

On the topic of music, a while ago Bunny was getting upset because of all the little wannabe-Avrils. Let me just go on record saying that I definetly see it now. I mean, they don't dress like her at my school, but they're in love with her. I don't really have a problem with it, except one kid told me that Avril Lavigne was really punk rock. That makes me want to kill. Just say she is what she is, pop. I don't have a problem with pop. Whatever, I just don't personally like it. But I get myself into trouble, because people get pissed at me when I say things about Avril. Dude, I'm not actually that against her. Whatever. It's kind of funny, anyway.

We had a School 5 talent show today and it almost broke into a riot. Fun. There were two kids rapping on stage, and one was representing Coast (an area of Cambridge) and another was representing NC (North Cambridge, where I live.) They kept calling, "NC!" "Coast!" and the audience would respond and they were getting angry at each other and it could have been bad, but whatever. At the talent show I felt SOOO white. It was really funny. I was like, wow, DO NOT UNDERSTAND because these kids did a rap in Haitian Creole. It got us out of classes anyway.

It's Trot Nixon, Jason Varitek and my friend Paul's birthday today. 29, 31 and 16 years old respectively :-) I don't get to see Paul, like, ever anymore. It's sad. But I saw him today and said happy birthday, so I was happy. And Trot was sick on his birthday and the Sox home opener was cancelled because our fucking weather continues to suck. It's gonna get warmer though, and then colder, but I'm going to Texas for a week, so I won't care. The Sox are 6-4, Celts clinched a playoff spot, Bruins are failing in the playoffs, Lakers are on a roll, and everything is OK.
