"Life is only as good as the memories we make..."

School is done. Well, not officially. I still technically have school on Monday and Tuesday, but I have no intentions of going. I went in today to meet up with Mary and watch a video of our final dance performances. It was crazy how few people were there. However, of the few who were there, I knew more than half. It was insane. I saw so many people. Me and Mary had fun, anyway.

It was kind of sad on Thursday. We were done with the last exam (history) at 9:45 and we all just stood around for almost half an hour because, as Sam said, "it's too early to walk home." I didn't even really say goodbye to anyone, but that's just how I am. I think that's probably my biggest issue, not allowing people near me. I mean, I know I won't see these people all summer and maybe not even at all next year, and yet I can't even bring myself to say goodbye. I never said goodbye to Richie, I would have just let Anthony go without saying goodbye, but he came back. I mean, if someone says goodbye to me I'll say goodbye back, but I can't go up to people and just say goodbye. I feel like I'd be forcing myself on them. But it's OK.

Red Sox won today. It rained the WHOLE GAME. Jimy Williams came to visit with his Astros. Gotta love Jimy. He managed here for 5 years, and he was great. We were just waiting for him to respond to a question with "manager's decision." I hate Dan Duquette. Shoulda kept Jimy. Just because he wouldn't be Duquette's dumb little pawn...but it's alright. Jimy's Astros are doing really good. 2 days ago 6 Astros pitchers no-hit the Yankees. It was sweet. And of course Jimy, in true Jimy style, says he didn't even notice until the 7th inning. Oh, I miss him. Quick hook and all.

You know what's odd about Boston and playing baseball here? You either love it or you hate it. People like Trotman and Dauber, they just love the energy, and they don't mind the criticism. People like Petey thrive off the attention. But then there's people like Everett and maybe even Hilly who hate it and feel like they're always getting their privacy invaded and the media's always talking shit. It's really odd. We just saw the St. Louis Cardinals come play the BoSox this week and the Cardinals seem to have all the positives (crazy supportive fans and a baseball atmoshpere) without the negatives (players don't hate the media, players actually usually want to play there, etc.) Stupid St. Louis. Midwesterners...

Oh I do love Jimy so much though: "It's good to be back here. They have that electricity here in New England. As much as we have great fans in Houston ... maybe it's just the length they've had baseball here in Boston. There's just a special feeling for this team. This is New England's team." WE MISS YOU JIMY!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for killing the Yanks for us ;-)

OK, I'd better sleep because...horseback riding tomorrow! Oh, and I have got to show y'all the posters I bought. I'll scan 'em when they get here. G'night.
